The London Nautical School (U.K) was founded in 1915, as a consequence of the official report into the loss of the “Titanic”. In 1990, it became one of the country’s first 11-18 comprehensive secondary schools for boys to be awarded grant maintained status. In September 1999, we became a Foundation School within the London Borough of Lambeth. The school is situated in Stamford Street on the south bank of the River Thames, in between Blackfriars Bridge and Waterloo Bridge. The London Nautical School is a smaller than average school situated in the heart of London.

The school has a unique nautical ethos, is very popular and is heavily oversubscribed with four applications for every available place. It serves a very wide catchment area which stretches throughout London. The school has specialist sports status and has gained a number of prestigious accolades including Healthy Schools Standard and the British Council Gold Award for International Work. The school’s recent GCSE Computing and IT results was 100% A* – C pass rate and which was the best result in South London in terms of pupil attainment. All KS3, KS4 and KS5 are studying Computer Science and the new curriculum for Computer Science is in place and well established.

Eurajoen kunta (FInland) are a combined elementary and secondary school (ages- 7-16). We have 395 pupils and 35 teachers and 10 people belonging to assisting personnel. There are 6 teachers involved in this project. To some extent this project will involve around 200 pupils from
grades 5 to 8.

We have a new school with state of the art equipment to teach programming, robotics and computer science.

Colegio Pio XII- Fundación escuela viva (Spain) was founded 130 ago so we are one of the oldest schools in Valencia. The main objectives of Colegio Pio XII(Valencia) consists in providing high quality education, the involvement of students and teachers in various extracurricular activities and projects in order to develop their personality and understanding of reality.
The regular activities consist in didactic activities based on the national curriculum. The high school is involved in more than 10 etwinning projects. We have a student exchange program with different countries like France, England or Germany. In our school our students are between 3-19 years old.
We have four levels of education:

– Pre-school (for students between 3-6 years old)

– Primary school (for students between 6-10 years old)

– Secondary school (for students between (11-14 years old)

– High school (for students between 15-19 years old). The classes from the high school have different subjects: Math-Computer Science, Natural Science ,Social Science, philosophy, etc.

Frazão Group of Schools, Pacos Ferreira (Portugal), is formed by a set of four schools. The 3 smaller schools are new buildings with classrooms, ICT rooms, gym, library and laboratory, with kindergarten students, from 3 to 5 years, and students of the 1st cycle of basic education, from 6 to 9 years, a total of 680 pupils. The other school, the seat school has about 550 students between 10 and 16
years and offers the 2nd and 3rd cycles of basic education cycle. It also has classes Curriculum Route Alternative and Vocational Courses classes targeted for students with learning difficulties or at risk of dropping out or absenteeism. It consists of classrooms with computer, internet and projector, ICT room, sports center, sports hall and gym, Administrative Services and Director. There is wireless everywhere.

Our school is located in a disadvantaged area socially, culturally and economically, and incorporated a project called: Educational Territories of Priority Intervention (TEIP).

Our school has been working hard on issues related to the rules, behaviors, cultural values and citizenship. All our classes have a weekly time to work on civic education in these and other related issues are worked out. All students of grads 7th and 8th also have a weekly hour of ICT and, in both grads, they work out the basics of computer programming. We believe that will be very useful once every one will need to work with computer applications and customize them to the needs they want. The ones who develop these skills will be better prepared to improve on their future professional and social roles.
